Wedding at Scarritt Bennett in Nashville Tennessee
Guest post
A wedding at Scarritt Bennett in Nashville Tennessee is the exact requirement of a Nashville wedding site that you have in mind. Weddings are special events of your lives that should be perfect. All
women have a dreamy concept about the most important day in their lives. It is the only day when they will occupy the center stage and look the most beautiful against the backdrop of the exotic wedding venue with everything just in place for the bride and the groom to step in.
Nashville being the capital of the city of Tennessee is also the county of Davidson. The topography of the land is marked by rivers, plateaus, hills, plains and wonderful churches. Having a wedding at the Scarritt Bennett is an experience in itself. The beautiful church is bifurcated in two parts of the Wightman Chapel and the Skinner Chapel. Both these chapels have separate booking rules and regulations. They also have at their disposal wedding planners and event managers to take care of the most important day of your life. Wedding Chapels Nashville
Some couples don’t want to get married by a justice of the peace outside a courtroom, nor do they want to have a full-fledged church wedding. They may instead opt for a Nashville wedding chapel.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that you didn’t hear or see of many of these, except maybe for those in Las Vegas. Now they are found in cities of all sizes and even in remote areas. One of the most famous outside of “Sin City” is the chapel at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.
While you will find one wedding chapel larger than another, most are not huge. In choosing one, you will want to take into consideration how many guests you are having and the space available for the ceremony and reception (if you are having a reception at the location).
Convenience of the location is also something you would look regardless of the site you choose. Fortunately, you can find chapels in just about every direction.
Below are some of the chapels we are familiar with in the Nashville area.
The Bridal Path Wedding Chapel
This one is located off Briley Parkway not too far from the Opryland area. This is a white chapel with a traditional chapel or church look to it. It can seen as you are driving by on the parkway.
Clovercroft Chapel
This Franklin, Tennessee chapel is tucked away among the rolling hills south of Nashville. It was a church at one time (and perhaps a church still meets there – we aren’t sure). It has a fairly long “sanctuary.” It doesn’t have pews, but chairs so that they can moved after the ceremony for the reception.
Montgomery Bell State Park Chapel
This quaint stone chapel sits out amongst the trees in a park about 30 minutes west of Nashville. It was the birthplace of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in this area. There is a small shelter area to the side for an outdoor reception or sometimes couples move the reception to one of the meeting rooms in the park restaurant center.
Juliet’s Wedding Chapel
Located in Mt. Juliet, TN to the east of the city, this one is a 1940’s renovated church. It has stained glass windows, a balcony, chandeliers and a center aisle. Mt. Juliet is an up and coming, fast growing town. You can get to it in minutes from the airport.
Owens Chapel Church
In Brentwood, Tennessee, this is currently an active small church. It is found in a remarkably beautiful area surrounded by tress and “farm land” yet is right in the mix of one of the fastest growing areas of Nashville. You head down Interstate 65 and take the Concord Road exit. Go west about a half a mile and you find it there at the intersection of Concord and Franklin road.
Found in Madison, Tennessee this chapel refers to itself as a “small chapel for simple weddings.” We have not been to this one, but it appears to be mostly an in and out wedding service.
Note:
Dearly Beloved’s in Old Hictory, TN on its website says that this venue was destroyed by fire and will not be reopened.
