Nashville Hotels for Weddings | Nashville Wedding Venues

Nashville Wedding Hotels

That makes it extremely convenient and you don’t have to worry about your main wedding guests getting lost or arriving late. Here we will list some Nashville hotels where we have seen weddings.

The Hermitage Hotel

This hotel is located on 6th Ave North in downtown Nashville. This hotel has a lot of history having opened in 1910 and was named after Andrew Jackson’s home, the Hermitage. Just a few years ago the hotel was refurbished and is very beautiful to see. Many of the rich and famous both past and present stay at this 5-star hotel. Several presidents have stayed here, as well as the likes of Al Capone…and the pool shark Minnesota Fats lived there for eight years. The hotel’s website list an extensive list of the notables who’ve been to the Hermitage Hotel as well as relates its robust history. There is a beautiful veranda where many of the weddings are held and an impressively large dining hall for receptions.

Union Station Wyndham Hotel

This hotel is easily spotted along Broadway near downtown Nashville. This 19th century train station was in such disrepair at one time that it was to be torn down. Fortunately it wasn’t. It was restored and as late as 2007 underwent an eleven million dollar renovation. As you walk into the lobby, the sixty five foot barrel vaulted ceiling is stunning. The marble floors and limestone fireplace are impressive as well. We have not seen a wedding in the lobby in recent years as they used to do, but there are rooms to the side where ceremonies are held. Receptions can be held in the lobby area or other locations within the hotel. Sometimes couples wed elsewhere and have their reception here. We are familiar with one wedding that was held next door at the Frist Art Center and then the reception moved over to Union Station. Very convenient indeed. Two fabulous sites without having to move one’s car.

Gaylord Opryland Hotel

Here we move to the Donelson area to the fabulous garden atriums and waterfalls (nine acres) of the world famous Opryland Hotel. It sits right along the Cumberland River where you can take riverboat rides on the General Jackson (another wedding location) and is only minutes from both the Nashville airport and downtown Nashville. Even closer is the Gaylord Spring Golf Course (yet another wedding location). Within the hotel itself there are several places to choose from for your wedding ceremony depending on its size from the Delta Pavilion to the Lion’s Head to Garden Gazebos. We know someone who has visited the nicest hotels in the world say that they were more impressed with this one than any other they had stayed in. It is a place you have to see for yourself. And one of the nice things about having your wedding in the hotels gardens is that it’s like having an outside wedding without having to be outside!

Doubletree Hotel Downtown

Located on 4th Ave, the Doubletree is definitely in the middle of things. The hotel website has a special page for wedding planning including a Space Calculator and Capacity Chart and Floor Plans tool, that helps you decide on the right room for your ceremony and / or wedding reception.

Hilton Hotel Downtown

The downtown Nashville Hilton is right in the middle of things. It is within walking distance of Broadway with all its shops and restaurants, as well as the world famous Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Sommet Center. Weddings are held in the overly large meeting rooms or sometimes on the veranda balconies overlooking parts of the city. The entrance stairway is of special note and is a favorite spot for wedding photos.

Embassy Suites Cool Springs and the Murfreesboro Embassy Suites

Both of these hotels have the same owner and are beautiful hotels. Cool Springs is situated between Brentwood, TN and Franklin, TN. The Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro just recently opened and we have seen one wedding there already. This is an area that is rapidly growing in Murfreesboro and there are many restaurants and shopping areas for your guests to enjoy.

Music City Sheraton

You know of the Sheraton reputation for quality and this hotel fits the mold very well. It is convenient to get to off I-40 and Briley Parkway and within minutes of the airport. It sits up on a hill with a nice view around. Weddings are held in meeting rooms or there is a nice garden area within the center of the hotel for an outdoor ceremony.

Embassy Suites Nashville Airport

We used to call this the pink hotel because, well it was pink. It has been repainted in a recent years what we would call some sort of earth tone. It has the distinctive Embassy Suites lobby/atrium area where weddings are typically held. The bride comes down the glass elevators where all the guests can see her. Once the ceremony is over, the guests are able to walk a short distance over to the reception area.

Hotel Preston

This hotel is found at the intersection of Briley Parkway and Interstate 40. It is very close to the airport if you have guest coming in by plane. We were part of one wedding here that was held on the back patio area close to the pool.

Loews Vanderbilt Hotel

Loews is found along West End Ave directly across from part of Vanderbilt University. We understand that may celebs stay here when in town. It is a top notch hotel and weddings as well as the receptions are held in very elegant dining rooms.

Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Vanderbilt

This hotel is new and we have not been to a wedding here yet but did visit during a meeting of wedding professionals. The wedding and reception area of the hotel on the top level is impressive and the view of downtown is one of the best around.
