Rock Castle Historic Home in Hendersonville Beautiful Nashville Area Wedding Site

You don’t have to drive far out of Nashville to the north side to find Historic Rock Castle situated on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville. This historical site has long been used for weddings, but since Miranda Lambert did her video White Liar there, it has gotten additional publicity and some who never knew it existed before, found a nice wedding location.

A wedding in front of the home of the pioneer General Daniel Smith is quite nice, though some couples like the idea of setting up the ceremony site to one side of the house to give a better view of the lake. Even on a warm day, a cool breeze can come from the lake to help cool the guests down.

There is a large pavilion about 100 yards from the home where receptions can be held. Some couples choose to rent a wedding tent instead which is set up near the pavilion. The tent could do double duty for the ceremony location in case it rains.

The wedding party is able to stay in the visitor’s center prior to the wedding. It has rooms for dressing as well as just hanging out until time for the festivities to begin.

Here’s some information taken from Rock Castle’s website. If this looks like a possibility for your Nashville wedding, then call or visit to get up to date information and pricing.
