Wedding Chapels Nashville
Some couples don’t want to get married by a justice of the peace outside a courtroom, nor do they want to have a full-fledged church wedding. They may instead opt for a Nashville wedding chapel.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that you didn’t hear or see of many of these, except maybe for those in Las Vegas. Now they are found in cities of all sizes and even in remote areas. One of the most famous outside of “Sin City” is the chapel at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.
While you will find one wedding chapel larger than another, most are not huge. In choosing one, you will want to take into consideration how many guests you are having and the space available for the ceremony and reception (if you are having a reception at the location).
Convenience of the location is also something you would look regardless of the site you choose. Fortunately, you can find chapels in just about every direction.
Below are some of the chapels we are familiar with in the Nashville area.
The Bridal Path Wedding Chapel
This one is located off Briley Parkway not too far from the Opryland area. This is a white chapel with a traditional chapel or church look to it. It can seen as you are driving by on the parkway.
Clovercroft Chapel
This Franklin, Tennessee chapel is tucked away among the rolling hills south of Nashville. It was a church at one time (and perhaps a church still meets there – we aren’t sure). It has a fairly long “sanctuary.” It doesn’t have pews, but chairs so that they can moved after the ceremony for the reception.
Montgomery Bell State Park Chapel
This quaint stone chapel sits out amongst the trees in a park about 30 minutes west of Nashville. It was the birthplace of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in this area. There is a small shelter area to the side for an outdoor reception or sometimes couples move the reception to one of the meeting rooms in the park restaurant center.
Juliet’s Wedding Chapel
Located in Mt. Juliet, TN to the east of the city, this one is a 1940’s renovated church. It has stained glass windows, a balcony, chandeliers and a center aisle. Mt. Juliet is an up and coming, fast growing town. You can get to it in minutes from the airport.
Owens Chapel Church
In Brentwood, Tennessee, this is currently an active small church. It is found in a remarkably beautiful area surrounded by tress and “farm land” yet is right in the mix of one of the fastest growing areas of Nashville. You head down Interstate 65 and take the Concord Road exit. Go west about a half a mile and you find it there at the intersection of Concord and Franklin road.
Found in Madison, Tennessee this chapel refers to itself as a “small chapel for simple weddings.” We have not been to this one, but it appears to be mostly an in and out wedding service.
Note:
Dearly Beloved’s in Old Hictory, TN on its website says that this venue was destroyed by fire and will not be reopened.
